- I have a part time job with irregular hours and I can never remember
- my hours when the paycheck arrives. Up till now, I have jotted them
- down on a piece of paper and then compared that paper with my check stub.
- This worksheet is intended to replace that. It is incomplete, but at least
- as effective as my scratch paper. I would have a hard time justifying
- spending more time on it.
- However, any comments would be welcome, and I would like to know
- if anyone else finds it useful. I would particularly like to know
- about any blunders in designing this sheet, or about any standard
- techniques that I should have used.
- Sincerely, Robert Hardy

- The Lotus worksheet "HOURWORK.WKS" is organized as follows:
-
- titles |
- and master| summary
- worksheet|(nothing here)
- ----------|------------
- multiple | reference
- working |(contains base pay
- copies | and base date)
- of master |
-
- Use:
- Make a copy of the HOURWORK worksheet. Give it a name to
- suit your purpose. Look it over and enter pertinent information
- in the reference area. There is sample data in the working copies
- area. It can be deleted by typing /REworking{return}.
- When you get your schedule, make a new copy of the master
- worksheet. To do this, page down to the first open area in the
- working copies area. Do /Cmaster{return}{return}. Enter your
- schedule into the area marked "Sched.".
- During the work week, enter the hours you worked into the
- area marked "Worked".
- When you get your check, enter the pertinent information
- into the area marked "Credited". Since the worksheet can only
- handle one pay rate, you may also want to update the area marked
- "Actual". You can overwrite formula's to suit your purpose.
- Any discrepancies will be shown at the bottom of the worksheet.
- There is also room to include notes.
